The octagon will return to Dallas, Texas on May 14 for UFC 211. The pay-per-view event is headlined by a heavyweight title fight rematch featuring current champ Stipe Miocic taking on former title holder Junior dos Santos.
Miocic and dos Santos first met in December of 2014 with the Brazilian emerging victorious via unanimous decision in what was a very close fight.
The heavyweight title scrap is not the only championship bout on the card, as current UFC women’s strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk will defend her strap against surging Brazilian contender Jessica Andrade.
The UFC’s top welterweight contender Demian Maia will also see action at UFC 211 when he takes on rising star Jorge Masvidal. Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez will also return at the event where he will meet perennial division contender Dustin Poirier. If that wasn’t enough, UFC 211 also includes a key featherweight fight between former title challenger Frankie Edgar and rising star Yair Rodriguez.
UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo returns to the Octagon as he looks to unify his title against interim champion Max Holloway at UFC 212 in June.
Aldo is coming off a strong win over Frankie Edgar at UFC 200 for his 19th win his last 20 fights and he looks to continue his legacy as one of the most prolific champions in UFC history.
Holloway dropped back to back fights in 2013 but since then has reeled off an incredible 10-fight win streak, including a third-round TKO of Anthony Pettis to win the interim belt last December.
Also on the main card, two of the best strawweights in the world face off when Claudia Gadelha takes on Karolina Kowalkiewicz in a bout that could see the winner challenge for the title their next time out.
It's Aldo vs Holloway and it's showing here live and loud.
